June 19 Awareness Walk in Warri held By Audrey Sickle Cell Foundation.
History was made, awareness was created,people were educated about the disorder and the importance of knowing their genotype, the walk began from the most popular and busy areas of the town (Warri). We converged at Willie junction opposite Robinson plaza were we began the walk and shared educative pamphlets containing details about the disorder to Deco junction through: at Deco to Enerhen junction and we rounded off at Airport junction.
These past days has being a beehive of activities for ASCF all in celebration World Sickle Cell day 2019, ASCF 2nd awareness walk was a huge success thank you to all who made it a reality and also participated in it. *

At each junctions we captured the attention of the masses and explained to those who cared to listen, our take home conclusion based on the survey we did during and after the walk was that out of the numbers informed by the awareness created, more people are still ignorant of the disorder, and options available to them in making the right decisions available to them in marrying right.
ASCF sickle cell community is most grateful to all our supporters, collaborators and sponsors.
We also had radio awareness program,in 3 most popular radio stations in Warri, that same week. It was indeed a massive awareness campaign both online and offline.
